'Fragment of Time' Earrings

Designed as relics, weathered with time and wear before eventually being dug up and placed on display at a museum. The Fragment of Time earrings are designed out of filigree - a form of intricate metalwork consisting of curled and twisted threads of gold or silver that has been in existence for thousands of years. In Ancient Greece, hoop earrings came to be worn as a way to define one’s sign of prosperity, religion and wealth in society.

Handmade in Vancouver from 24K Gold Vermeil (which is 3 microns thick of 24K gold plated sterling silver).

Butterfly and stud closures for pierced ears.

Earrings measure in 2.5cm in length.
