ASK A STYLIST - HOW TO WEAR A GRAPHIC TEE

Q: The graphic t-shirt trend is so fun! But I'm worried I can't pull them off. How do I wear a graphic tee while still looking chic and sophisticated?
A: Slogan tees and graphic t-shirts are our go-to for playful weekend wear, cheeky nights out and even dressing down an evening look. We're not alone in our love affair. From the runway to the street to some genius collaborations, one might call this the year of the graphic tee. And Être Cécile is winning it hands down. (We can't wait for their collaboration with Man Repeller!)
They can be intimidating to try at first or seem a little too playful for every occasion, but trust us anyone can wear the trend! Pairing the right tee with the right things is the trick to looking chic in a graphic or slogan t-shirt. Here are our four favourite ways to wear it.
1. Weekend Errands (above)
This is a great easy and casual look for running around town but still looking fabulous. We love the Être Cécile French Fury Tee paired with this amazing 10 Crosby bouclé jacket that can add cool sophistication to any off-duty look.

2. Dinner with the Girls
Play up a feminine feel with pastel colours and clean lines for a night out. The Chevron Colour Block Tee is a soft take on a graphic look. Top with a soft grey coat and pair with skinny jeans cropped at the ankle and a killer heel. Grab the rose gold Marie Turnor clutch and you're good to go.

3. Date Night
What better time to be La Bombe? To make the graphic tee standout, keep your outfit monochromatic in black and white. We love this bold statement t-shirt with a leather motorcycle jacket and the Joseph lace pencil skirt (for that sexy/soft feel). Lace and leather together is always a win in the RB world. Finish with strappy heels to keep the leg line long, lean and gorgeous.

4. Power Shopping
Take "Charge" with this Être Cécile t-shirt designed in collaboration with Harper's Bazaar Executive Editor Laura Brown. Keep things simple when you're on a mission. There's nothing better than throwing on a graphic tee with your favourite blue jeans and heels. Roll up the cuff to mirror the easy look of the t-shirt, and show off your shoes.
