Easy Chic

In 1926, Wharton School of Business economist George Taylor coined the theory known as the “Hemline Index”. The Hemline Index describes the relationship between the economy and hemlines, in which the length of women’s skirts are an indicator of stock market potential. In other words: the shorter the skirt the better the economy. Well, we are sorry to inform you Mr. Taylor, but we will have to refute your claim because we are seeing skirts of ALL lengths for spring 2015. While it is true that in past years mini or maxi skirts have been the ‘it’ skirt for that particular season, we are seeing a newfound appreciation of all hemlines. Women rejoice!

There is just something about a great skirt that makes us feel feminine and gives us that boost of confidence to help us look and feel our best. Not only are there no rules to follow when it comes to skirt length this spring, we are seeing a wide range in style, shape, and colour. Some of our go-to patterns, such as florals and stripes are classics and are always popular for spring; however, it would be an understatement to say that sheer is hot right now. What we love about a sheer skirt is that they are so sexy and yet still sophisticated. Whatever your favourite style is, trust that it will be on trend.

We have put together some of our favourite pieces from Tibi, Clu, TOME, and more here, so happy shopping! The world is your oyster.
